2018 Onsite Fitness Classes
As part of the Pride In Wellness program, onsite fitness classes are offered on all three campuses. See our CALENDAR to print class schedules.
Spring classes (15 weeks): January 8 - April 27 (NO classes Spring Break)
Fall classes (13 weeks): August 27 - November 30 (NO classes Thanksgiving Week)
Yoga Plus - Offered through Pride In Wellness,this class incorporates a variety of the most popular yoga PLUS some Pilates movements: power yoga, vinyasa flow, restorative yoga, healthy back yoga, Pilates mat and standing. This class is designed to help you improve your flexibility, strength, balance, coordination, and reduce the impact of stress on your body. Taught on Bradenton Campus, Mondays & Thursdays 5-6 PM (Library) with Laura.

Tai Chi - Offered through Pride In Wellness, this class involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing. Tai chi, also called tai chi chuan, is a noncompetitive, self-paced system of gentle physical exercise and stretching. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion. Taught on Bradenton Campus, Tuesdays 5-6 PM with NEW INSTRUCTOR Rueben, Collegiate School.
Boot Camp - Offered through Pride In Wellness, get in shape “boot camp” style! Experience full-body workouts that target the major muscle groups of the upper & lower body. From circuit-style routines that jump-start cardio fitness, to creative muscle-toning exercises using dumbbells, exercise bands, or even the participant’s body weight, each class brings its own unique challenges. No two classes are the same! Helps to improve cardiovascular stamina, core strength, & flexibility. Taught on Bradenton Campus, Collegiate School, Wednesdays at 5-6 PM with NEW INSTRUCTOR.
Total Body - Offered through Pride In Wellness, a full body workout with resistance bands and weights. This class will help you gain muscle, tone and sweat some calories. Taught on Venice Campus, NEW TIME Tuesdays 4:30-5:30 PM with Virginie, Selby 802/812 & 801/811.
ZUMBA - Offered through Pride In Wellness, a fun, Latin-inspired calorie torching, fat-burning cardiovascular exercise class without complex choreographies. This class will enhance your balance and flexibility, increase your stamina and muscle tone, and help you lose weight all while having fun with friends. Ditch the workout, join the party! Taught on Venice Campus, Thursdays 5-6 PM with Virginie, Student Union.
Lakewood Ranch Classes
Stretch, Sculpt, & Tone - Offered through Pride In Wellness, want to get a full body workout at increasing intensities? This class starts out with 20 minutes of yoga-based stretching, followed by 20 minutes of Pilates-styled sculpting movements, and ends with 20 minutes of higher intensity toning exercises. There is a little bit of everything for everyone! Taught at TRY-FUN Fitness and Training for LWR Campus, Thursdays from 5-6 pm with Vikki at 6972 Professional Parkway East, Sarasota, FL, United States.
