2018 Onsite Fitness Classes

As part of the Pride In Wellness program, onsite fitness classes are offered on all three campuses. See our CALENDAR to print class schedules.

Bradenton Classes -


​Yoga Plus - Offered through Pride In Wellness this class incorporates a variety of the most popular yoga PLUS some Pilates movements: power yoga, vinyasa flow, restorative yoga, healthy back yoga, Pilates mat and standing. This class is designed to help you improve your flexibility, strength, balance, coordination, and reduce the impact of stress on your body. Taught on Bradenton Campus, Mondays & Thursdays 5-6 PM (New Library Upstairs) with Laura, August 27 – November 29 (no class Thanksgiving Week).


Meditation - Offered through Pride In Wellness and the Sarasota Mindfulness Institute, this program aims to teach mediation, mindfulness and stress reduction on a weekly basis. Taught on the Bradenton Campus, Tuesdays, 5 - 6 PM, August 28 – November 27 in the New Library, Room 143 (no class Thanksgiving Week) with Nancy.


Boot Camp - Offered through Pride In Wellness & Student Wellness, get in shape “boot camp” style! Experience full-body workouts that target the major muscle groups of the upper & lower body. From circuit-style routines that jump-start cardio fitness, to creative muscle-toning exercises using dumbbells, exercise bands, or even the participant’s body weight, each class brings its own unique challenges. No two classes are the same! Helps to improve cardiovascular stamina, core strength, & flexibility. Taught on Bradenton Campus, New Library, Room 143, Wednesdays at 5-6 PM with Natalie, August 22 – December 5 (no class Thanksgiving Week).


Venice Classes​ - 


Total Core & More - Offered through Pride in Wellness, a total body workout focusing on your core muscles. Taught on Venice Campus, Tuesdays, 4:30 - 5:30 PM, August 28 – November 27, Selby 801/811, (no class Thanksgiving Week) with Virginie. 


ZUMBA - Offered through Pride In Wellness, a fun, Latin-inspired calorie torching, fat-burning cardiovascular exercise class without complex choreographies. This class will enhance your balance and flexibility, increase your stamina and muscle tone, and help you lose weight all while having fun with friends. Ditch the workout, join the party! Taught on Venice Campus, Thursdays 4:45-5:45 PM with Virginie, Student Union, August 28 – November 27 (no class Thanksgiving Week).

Lakewood Ranch Classes​ -


Stretch, Sculpt, & Tone - Offered through Pride In Wellness, want to get a full body workout at increasing intensities? This class starts out with 20 minutes of yoga-based stretching, followed by 20 minutes of Pilates-styled sculpting movements, and ends with 20 minutes of higher intensity toning exercises. There is a little bit of everything for everyone! Taught at TRY-FUN Fitness and Training for LWR Campus, Thursdays from 5-6 pm with Vikki at 6972 Professional Parkway East, Sarasota, FL, United States, August 28 – November 27 (no class Thanksgiving Week).
